Drew is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury, defective products, and chemical exposures. Drew has litigated these issues in 15 states.

Drew is one of the only trial lawyers in the country to have secured a seven-figure verdict, an eight-figure verdict, and a nine-figure verdict, all before the age of 40. He holds the record verdict in Rabun County (GA), the record verdict in Lowndes County (GA), and one of the largest pain and suffering verdicts in Georgia history. He holds the 7^th largest premises liability verdict in the Southeast in 2019, the 8^th largest vehicle crash verdict in the Southeast in 2020, and the largest verdict in any product liability or wrongful death case in Georgia in 2021.

Drew has extensive experience in cases involving defective products of all kinds, including automobiles, aerial lifts, cranes, ATVs, boats, industrial equipment, and a variety of consumer and household products. To date, manufacturers have issued four separate nationwide recalls as a result of his work in cases, most of which were issued in almost unprecedented fashion – in the middle of litigation.

In addition to these areas, Drew has attained substantial verdicts and settlements in cases involving trucking collisions, auto crashes, complex multi-vehicle pileups, industrial injuries, and foodborne illness cases. Drew’s work has resulted in three eight-figure awards and dozens of seven-figure awards for his clients.

Drew is also a frequent speaker and educator in the field of e-Discovery. He graduated from the renowned Georgetown e-Discovery Academy, has attended the Advanced e-Discovery Institute, and has been asked to speak all over the country on e-Discovery topics. Drew planned, organized, hosted, and taught at the first-ever e-Discovery conference for trial lawyers.

Most of Drew’s work comes from other attorneys who refer him cases that are difficult and often require dedicated focus over several years. Drew takes special pride in taking cases that other law firms have turned down and helping those families get the justice and accountability that they deserve.

Experience

Defending Catastrophic Cases

Before devoting his career to representing survivors and the families of those who were wrongfully killed, Drew worked for many years defending cases for large insurance companies and corporations, in both the United States and overseas. In that capacity, Drew litigated cases for Fortune 500 companies and eight of the top 15 largest insurance companies in the U.S.

Government and Nonprofit Work

Drew has served as private civil counsel to the Georgia Secretary of State, the Georgia Securities Commissioner, the Georgia Real Estate Commission, and the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board. He has served as civil counsel to Special Assistant Attorneys General, several large metro-Atlanta cities/counties, receivers in civil RICO actions, and several District Attorneys throughout Georgia. While in law school, Drew served as a legal intern with the Office of the General Counsel for the Department of Homeland Security, where he did a variety of work, including helping build cases that would strip the U.S. citizenship away from international human rights abusers.

Drew also helped achieve a victory at the Supreme Court of the United States and various federal Courts of Appeals while litigating first amendment and other constitutional issues with the American Center for Law and Justice.

Accolades

Drew has been named both a Rising Star (an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of lawyers), and a Super Lawyer (only 5% chosen) every year since 2016. He is also listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America. He was chosen as part of the second LEAD class of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, where he now serves on the Executive Committee, is the Treasurer for the Civil Justice PAC Board, and is an editor and contributor to Verdict Magazine.

Drew served for numerous years as a co-chair of the Legislative Committee for the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association, where he is active in Georgia politics on issues affecting civil justice and the 7th Amendment right to a jury trial in civil cases. He has also served in every leadership position in the Georgia Civil Justice PAC Board, including serving as its Chairman during one of the largest legislative battles in decades.

In addition, Drew serves on the Board of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, as well as on its Collision Avoidance Technology subcommittee. He has served as a section officer for the American Association for Justice. Locally, Drew has served in every officer role in the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association, including serving as its President for two years.

Because of Drew’s work and experience, House and Senate Subcommittees in Georgia have asked him to testify on issues involving complex personal injury laws, the laws regarding defective products, and civil justice issues generally.

Education

Drew graduated from Auburn University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Economics. He received his law degree from Regent University School of Law, where he served on the Trial Advocacy Board and was an officer in the Federalist Society.

Community

Drew, his wife Anna, and their three children live in Smyrna, Georgia where they are involved in their neighborhood, their local schools, various local and international ministries, and Passion City Church.
